Current VA interest rate is 5.25%.  The rate changes daily but is moving within a narrow range of 5-5.5%.  If you purchase a home with a $150000 mortgage your  monthly payment will be approximately  $978 to include taxes and homeowners insurance.
 
  • The $8000 tax credit for first time home buyers due to expire this month is being extended through June of 2010 as long as the buyer enters into a binding contract by 30 April of next year.  The program  will be expanded to include a $6500 tax credit for some current home owners..  E-mail for details
